Cooks CrossinRailRoad Station
Established on May 27th,1999.
Our building is the original Bangor & Aroostic Railroad station built in 1905. The building was originally located on Station Road at the north end of the Mack Point yard in Searsport, ME.
After 91 years, this rustic station was in danger of being lost forever. In 1998, we moved the station building along side Searsports Long Cove just off of route 1. We converted the station to “Cooks Crossing” restraunt, gift shop and mini-railroad museum. The station was fully restored to its original state in early May, 1999. On May 27, 1999, we opened the station doors to the public for the first time in 63 years.
